・ 以下の20世紀の偉大な報道作品100(20世紀アメリカ・ジャーナリズムの業績トップ100)には、すでに一般によく知られている作品が多くあります ね。他にも印象的や興味深い作品もありますよ。
当 ランキング1位に原爆被害者の体験記を選んだ事に感心しますね。当時の事を考えればその本が1946年に出版できたことにとても驚きですね。本の内容はこ んにちの当関連本に比べ ると、詳細に欠き文章もあまり良いできのようには思えないですね。しかしジャーナリズムという分野と歴史的・文化的影 響を考慮すれば、トップの座 に選ばれることは何ら不思議なことではありませんね。米国の戦勝ムードがまださめない中、その非人道的な行為とそれによる単 に物理的被害以上に、人的、文化的、精神的、思想的な被害が甚大だという事実を社 会一般が知る最初のきっかけになった本ですからね。
